1 review for Amflow Bike – PL Carbon Pro – 800W

  1. George Ipsen

Hi Mitch and the team at Cyclery Studio
I am one of the very lucky people to have purchased a AmFlow PL carbon with an 800 Whr battery from the initial shipment. I had you guys add cush cores front and back and added a Assegia rear tire. From the first ride, the bike was balanced and had no peculiar traits that needed to be addressed. In a word, this bike is amazing. I have been ebiking for over 8 years and covered over 12,000 klm of single track x country and bike parks. My previous bikes were a Norco VLT carbon with a shimano E8000, then a Scott Ransom Eride with the Bosch CX4 race motor (I still have these bikes and don’t intend selling them as I still enjoy them for what they are). The Amflow is at least 2 levels above the Scott for performance and the nimblness of the package, which makes it very playful and exceptional fun. The smile factor is at a level I didn’t think was possible. This bike is the equavilant to stepping from an family car to a Ferrari. The precision with which it can be riden at speed needs to be experienced. A simple review does not give it justice. My mate Wal who is an ex Australian mtn bike champion summed it up. He wouldn’t changed a thing, except tires and his is continually surprised at the capability of the package. He likens it to a 3 year old with their first scooter. I think this bike will set a new bench mark to measure all trail bikes against. The SL catagory has been blown away by the AmFlow. Those tossers out there that want more range from the battery need to understand that when riden hard, you don’t consider range as an issue, same as driving a Lamborgini. The range is sufficient for 2 to 3 hours of high intensity fun, finding the ragged edge at every corner. This is not just a powerful motor, but inludes the best electronics package and integrated suspension package on the market. The brakes do squeal a bit, but this can be remedied with automotive brake cleaner. The bike needs to be wrapped to protect the easily scatched paint work, which I did, as I wany to protect my investment. Value for money, this bike is at the top of the pile. There is no ability to test ride them before purchase but take the plunge, you won’t regret it. In my circle of riders, 4 of us have taken the plunge. We all agree, that yoy need to ride one in the bush on single track to get a full understanding of its capabilities.
Thanks Mitch for the opportunity to experience the level of technology at a very affordable price. The lower spec version would suit most less hard core riders and is even better value.
PS please treat the bike with a lot of respect and get to know its capabilities, as these far exceed the riders of 99% of riders. Things happen really quickly and can lead to misadventure if you over cook your corner speeds.
    Regards
